In a tough economy, brides are looking for ways to save a buck (or
hundreds of bucks) on their wedding gowns. Many are turning to
thrift stores, consignment shops and other locations where you can
buy gently used, pre-owned gowns. In addition to brick and mortar
stores, there are also dozens of websites where you can [...]

A wedding takes a lot of time to plan and most brides just
don’t have the extra energy to deal with a bridesmaid
altercation. Bridesmaids can disagree about serious or very small
issues. In either case, this situation can be very difficult and
irritating for the bride and the entire wedding party if not
handled [...] Related posts:The Wedding Party: Big or Small? When

Every couple preparing to marry would certainly say that their
relationship was a journey of sorts. But for Suzanne Farrell and
Justin Smith, their travels were also of the literal sort.
Life insurance is an important aspect of almost every financial
plan, but how can you make sense of all the different policies
available? Everyone seems to have their own opinion, and
unfortunately there are also a lot of insurance salesmen who may be
more inclined to earn a commission than to put you in the best type
of policy. So, it's up to you to understand how each type of policy
works so that you can decide what's best for you....Read Full Post

Go for a drive in this countryside especially in this vintage car.
And then eat some ice cream from a small town ice cream shop. Yum.

A new wedding planner tweeted me asking whether or not
she should allow someone to work in her bridal show
booth to give them experience. She also mentioned that she was
afraid the person would take her ideas. It is very generous to
offer to give experience to someone who wants to be a wedding
planner. However, [...]
We did it! We won the only award that we wanted more than a Dundie.
That’s right, we’re talking about the 2010 Aisledash

that you’re all thinking “who did those guys have to
sleep with to take home the big prize?” Hey, we don’t

Here we are in week three of Laura and Billy's four week wedding
planning process (so close to the big day!) and today we're
chatting with the bride herself about that all-important piece of
the puzzle, the wedding photography. It just so happens that Laura
is a wedding photographer herself with Laura Marchbanks Photography
so her normal involvement with this subject happens behind the
camera, not in front of it. But in less than two short weeks she
will be the subject of hundreds and hundreds of images captured by
the fabulous Jasmine Star, as thousands of other photographers look
on during the live broadcast no less! Since we'll get to see lots
of Jasmine's work after the wedding (can't wait!) I thought today
it would be fun to see some of Laura's own favorite i...

Ty & Paul chose to get married in Texas on June 12, which is
"Loving Day." Loving Day was special to them because it
commemorates the anniversary of Loving v. Virginia (1967). Which
was the Supreme Court decision that legalized interracial marriage
in the United States.
I <3 Playmobil, so I was totally jazzed when I found out they
have a six wedding sets: a fancy church for the wedding, a bridal
couple with a wedding cake, a wedding photographer with flower girl
and ring bearer, wedding getaway car, wedding guests with a party
tent, a wedding carriage with dapple greys, [...]

I received an email this week upset with me because I recommended
that a "lazy, uncaring, and unmotivated" wife see a physician or
psychiatrist. Her husband wanted me to agree that he should just
"kick her out of the house" so she would have to live with the
consequences of her behavior. Read Full PostMarriage and ADHD

This ccccrazy couple had a pretty mad wedding followed by an
equally (in fact maybe more so) insane trash the dress style shoot.
Alongside their photographers, Steph & Ryan wanted to show that
the assumptions that some couple's have about trash the dress
aren't necessarily true and trash the dress shoots don't literally
have to mean your dress is completely destroyed. However by not be
afraid of getting the dress a little bit dirty, you really can end
up with some totally unique images. I wanted to share a selection
from both the couple's wedding and photo shoot as I know both sets
of photos bring a huge smile to your face! I love these two!
Beyond winger media, the BBC style of guest badgering seems
rampant. This very morning, I was surprised to hear WBUR's Deborah
Becker play silly adversary with Suffolk County Sheriff Andrea
Cabral. Eh?If you watch or listen to the Beeb TV or radio, you get
the behavior that subsequently became the norm of FOX and more
recently even MSNBC (think Hardball). The ill-bred plug uglies like
Bill O'Reilly make their living at nasty irrationality and Chris
Matthews is not far behind in exhibiting British-tabloid
sensibilities. The routine is to bring on knowledgeable guests,
ideally one at a time, and hassle the devil out of them. This is
asking a pointed question and then talking over the attempted
answer. When the guest does state facts or positions, contradiction
is in order, fast, repeated and...

Y'all are sweet! This week I have a funny little question for
you. It seems like such a small thing in the grand scheme of
a wedding, but I'm wondering how you feel. It's about
clapping at the end of a wedding ceremony, as the recessional music
swells and the bride and groom kiss, then trot back up the aisle in
wedded bliss. Do you do it? Do you not do it?

There are obvious places to save money when you’re planning a
wedding with a tight budget: fewer flowers; fewer guests; a
sit-down dinner instead of buffet; fewer attendants; a D.J. instead
of a band; and the list goes on. But have you ever suggested that
your couple focus on their venue as a cost-cutting measure? [...]
